Rural Health

Rural hospitals are an integral component of the healthcare ecosystem in the United States. They serve over 25% of the population, are typically the largest employer in the communities they serve, and often are the only source of care for miles in any direction. Whitecap understands the unique and persistent issues rural hospitals face that challenge their existence, including geographic isolation, unfavorable demographic trends, lack of scale, and high levels of substance abuse, among others. We have built a menu of strategic planning approaches to best meet the needs of our rural hospital clients, some of whom have limited resources but still require broad participation from internal and external stakeholders.
